Engineering Systems Division represented at Medico Bazaar | Med-Tech Innovation, 2016 at DTU. PhD student Julia Thorpe and master's students Kristoffer Rønn, Paulina Bien and Patrick Leese demonstrate the group’s work on Engineering Systems Design in Healthcare: Smart Wearables for Dementia Monitoring, with a particular focus on technology acceptance and adoption for the elderly and visualising and facilitating the communication of eHealth sensor data.

Invited talk at Demensrådet Denmark's theme day on rehabilitation of people with dementia: In the context of engineering systems design and cognitive rehabilitation, Associate Professor Anja Maier introduces to a pilot study on adapting smart technology for use by elderly patients with MCI or dementia. The study was conducted together with Glostrup Hospital and Assistant Professor Ali Gurcan Ozkil.

Annual Lean Construction-DK Study Prize for best master's thesis 
Master's students Camilla Milling and Ditte Høybye were awarded this year's study prize by the Danish Lean Construction association for their thesis entitled "Added Value in Lean Projects". The award also covers expenses related to conference participation. The project was supervised by Associate Professor Sten Bonke.

Annual M-Prize from IDA Mechanical for best master’s thesis At ASME 12th Biennial Conference on Engineering Systems Design and Analysis (ESDA2014) in Copenhagen, Design & Innovation engineers Mette Maagensen and Kia Handler Krøjgaard receive IDA Mechanical’s 2014 M-Prize for their project entitled ”Conceptualisation of a Product/Service-System to Increase the Use of Heat Pumps in Danish Households”.  The thesis was supervised by Associate Professor Anja Maier and Professor Tim McAloone.
